It seems when Covid-19 hit the whole world got thrown into homeschooling, at least in part. My heart went out to the teachers, the parents, and the children as the confusion swirled.
How do we teach? I heard that some children received packets to do at home, some were on the computer (but not all the children had computers), etc. Most of the responsibility was put on the parents since everyone was supposed to stay home as much as possible. I talked to several teachers and parents as they navigated through these new turbulent waters. Some parents were also school teachers. Suddenly they were learning a new way of teaching their class while teaching their own children at home too.
Even though Covid is not settling down, I sense the teachers and parents have. The creative juices are flowing. The Spirit of God is falling and the feeling of inadequacy is somewhat improving.
I want to encourage you all. You are brave and strong and smart. The Lord is with you! Call on him a lot. With God’s help, you can do this! Keep trying the best you can.
As you read these verses from Judges, put your name in the place of Gideon’s name, and put yourself in your own circumstances that you are living through right now.
The angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon and said, “The Lord is with you, O champion!”
“My Lord,” Gideon said to him, “if the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us?”……The Lord turned to Gideon and said, “Go with the strength you have and save Israel from the power of Midian. It is I who send you.” But Gideon answered him, “Please, my lord, how can I save Israel?…….I am the most insignificant in my father’s house.” The Lord said to him, “I shall be with you.”
Judges 6: 12-13a, 14-16a
With whatever situation you are going through now, I want you to know that I am praying for you. Covid is around but God is around and surrounds us way beyond. Where struggles are, grace abounds. Nothing can separate you from the love of God. Graces are renewed every morning.
The Lord is with you, O champions! I am so proud of you.
God bless,
Mary Ann / Mother Hen
