girl receiving ashes from priest on Ash WednesdayOn Ash Wednesday when we receive ashes, we hear the words, “Remember that you are dust and to dust you shall return.”

No one knows if they will die suddenly. Lent is a good time to look at our lives, repent, and make the changes we need to make.

It’s a good time to work on our prayer lives and to make little offerings to Jesus each day — with joy.

About Mary Ann Halloran

I’m a wife, mom, grandma, and follower of Jesus. Besides homeschooling my kids for 30 years, I have been an active member of a lay missionary community that serves the poor. I love spending time with my family, playing with my grandkids, and drinking a hot cup of tea in front of our wood-burning stove in the winter.
