Are you trying to put on a good show for other people, pretending to be someone you are not?
This week’s episode
We live in a culture of lies: in the media, politicians, salespeople — lying is expected and accepted for the most part.
But Jesus warns us to be on guard against hypocrisy, pretending to be someone we are not.
Father Thomas used to say that pretense is a big obstacle for religious people. We try to look good instead of being good. But God can always see our hearts. We can’t fool God.
Listen in to this episode as we learn more about the dangers of pretense.
