Jesus had enemies, and if we are seriously following Him, we will have enemies too. The enemies of Jesus were mainly religious leaders and even one of His own disciples. Sometimes our enemies are in our own family.

But Jesus forgave His enemies and blessed them, and we are called to do the same. Jesus never said it would be easy to be His disciples. He says the opposite — you will be hated and persecuted. But rejoice! Blessed are you.
