We need to simplify Christmas. God is simple. Look at how he chose to be born — Mary was a simple girl. She married a simple carpenter. God announced the news first to humble shepherds.
Christmas should be about celebrating the birth of Jesus, Son of God. How did this simple birth grow into the commercial occasion that it is today?
We have to ask ourselves, “What would Jesus like? What birthday presents can I give to him this year?
- How to avoid being so busy and surrounded with so much stuff that we forget what Christmas is really about.
- What makes it easier for us to move with God?
- How can we hear God better?
- What we do to teach children to be greedy, without meaning to, and what we can do to change that.
