The dictionary describes perseverance as a continued, steady determination of a course of action that happens over a long period of time, especially during difficult circumstances.
In other words, you keep going when it’s hard. You don’t quit.
One of the greatest secrets in the spiritual life for making progress is to persevere. We all go through trials, some worse than others. But to live the gospel, we have to accept the hardships and keep running the race until the end, with God’s help and grace.
