Today we celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday here in America, and we dipped into the archives to pull out one of the many teachings Fr. Rick Thomas gave on giving thanks.
In this talk, he reminds us that we need to command ourselves to give thanks to God. Just like workers shape up and look busy when the boss comes around, we need to shape up and command ourselves to get obedient and give thanks to God for all His blessings. Using Psalm 103:1-5 is a good way to do that.
