Psalm 136 is a litany of the Lord’s saving love in the history of the Israelites, with the repeated refrain of, “His love is everlasting.” We can do our own salvation history thanking God for what He has done for us. It’s important for us to remind ourselves what God has done for us. It reminds us of His faithfulness.
God is a lot more faithful than we remember Him to be. It doesn’t come naturally to us so we have to train ourselves to remember what God has done for us.
Our minds get bombarded by information and news every day. We can become like the filter in the dryer that gets clogged up with lint. If we don’t clean out that filter in the dryer regularly, there is the danger of it catching on fire. We need to clean out our mind’s filter by recalling the marvels God has done in our lives and for our family members.
