007: 4 Steps to Forgive Someone

It’s not easy to forgive. But if we are following Jesus, He calls us to forgive those who sinned against us. And He gave us the example of how to do that from the Cross.

Unforgiveness is like a wound – it needs to be cleansed and attended to in order to heal. Forgiveness is a decision not an emotion.

4 Steps to Forgive:

  1. Make a firm decision to forgive the person that hurt you and voice it to Jesus out loud.
  2. Take all the negative thoughts you have about the person and put those at the foot of the Cross.
  3. Ask Jesus to come and heal you inside from the ways that person has hurt you.
  4. Ask Jesus to bless the person.
